Some mostly spoiler-free advice to anyone looking to embark on the new Hildibrand quests!

One of the very first thing the game does is ask you to get a drop from an overworld mob rather than make it a unique mob that you click on something to activate. So rather than waste a ton of time trying to hope you get lucky with the mob, form a party with other people on the same step! If one person in your group gets the first hit in, the entire group gets the item drop.

So I finally ran through all of Mount Rokkon and oh lord do I have so many ideas for some new Remia lore (✿◠‿◠) and is the majority of it going to be sad because i'm deathly allergic to fluff? yes, yes it is.

Also fun fact about Remia, her unique magick allows her to peer into the memories of those nearby as well as feel their emotions to a heightened degree in exchange for the loss of the memories pertaining to her own life. But if she's near those who know her, or comes into contact with objects that hold significant value to someone, she can peer into their memories and piece back her own recollection to some degree. The only time she can remember Yotsuyu is when she's holding her mirror—though that's rare since along with their shared memories coming back to a frighteningly vivid degree, she's also haunted by Yotsuyu's afterimage as though she were still alive. And despite knowing she'll never be able to move on so long as she keeps Yotsuyu's mirror, she can't bring herself to part with it either ;-;

I got the Mount Rokkon goodies \o/. With confidence, I can walk away from that place, having obtained all the treasures I desired 👋🏻. I'm sure Hancock is happy too, somewhere... wherever he is. Either in Kugane or visiting clientele 🤷🏻‍♀️. Probably grinning ear to ear looking at the massive number(s) on his income sheet(s).

That moment, when you suddenly realize: The business trip you planned months ago aligns with the launch of patch 6.45 and you will be out of town for the whole week.

Why? And how? Simply... how? You cannot even plan this even if you wanted to and knew the days ahead!

Well, seems will not suffer through log in queue this time and overcrowded spots on NPC spots. Always look on the bright side!

I managed to find all 12 routes for Mount Rokkon to get the mount! I put a quick and dirty walkthrough for them all under the cut, so don't look if you want to puzzle them out for yourself!

[Route 1 - Gift of the Onmyoji]

Kill them (one at a time) facing the floor lanterns with the banners behind them. There is a fourth lantern with NO banner behind it. DO NOT KILL THEM IN FRONT OF THIS ONE. That one will light up on its own when the other lanterns are lit.

It's almost 1am and I finished all 12 routes of Mount Rokkon \o/ I gots the guy! The floaty guy! 🥰🏮 (and 36 potsherds so far, for anyone curious what that equates to, more or less)

I'm being vague on purpose, I'll add more under the cut.

Life interfered otherwise I coulda got him sooner *grumble*. But isn't that the story for everyone?

He's literally a wandering happy lantern! How can you not want to just be like 'yes, neither of us seem to be normal, you're more than welcome to join my band of misfits and travel with me ♥'.

But also! That description reminds me of Graha's theme song title, 'Eternal Wind'; 'wherever the wind should blow'. They are now our cute red lantern friend, lighting up the way.

I'm not done with Mount Rokkon yet. Still gotta get 75 potsherds for all the things (and I get to run this on my main-alt too).

After seeing the mount firsthand though- totally worth 👍🏻
